On July 1, 2016 Stacy Deere-Strole received the email that she has been waiting on for a long time. She can officially mark complete the goal she set for herself 5 years ago this month. Stacy has received her Microsoft MVP in Office Servers and Services! The Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award (MVP) is awarded to individuals who are exceptional, independent community leaders who share their passion, technical expertise, and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products with others. In other words, achieve an award such as this it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, many long hours and determination. Stacy has the been the poster child in all these areas for a very long time as when she sets a goal she will do absolutely what it takes to achieve it.
Since she set this goal for herself she has spoken at NUMEROUS events and conferences along with being involved in organizing events such as SharePoint Saturday Cincinnati (Now called SharePoint Friday) and the local Cincinnati SharePoint user group. In her spare time she has also written numerous blogs and articles for various organizations and of course for Focal Point and her personal blog. When I mentioned to her that she could potentially cut back or limit herself or say no to some things she quickly would respond ” how do you choose who to help and not to help?”. That is not a choice she can make or would ever chose to make she wants to help everyone and will go above and beyond to do so. This attitude and drive is what clearly got her noticed in the SharePoint community and to be nominated and obtain her Microsoft MVP.
Focal Point Solutions is extremely proud of all that she has accomplished and we look forward to the future and as we know she will continue to do amazing things. So stay tuned!
